Welcome Message

Founded in 1996 to establish a foundation for theoretical research in the basic sciences in Korea, the Korea Institute for Advanced Study (KIAS) is celebrating its meaningful 30th anniversary.

Starting from modest beginnings, KIAS has grown into a global hub for pure inquiry and innovation in basic science over the past 30 years, driven by the dedication of world-renowned scholars and outstanding researchers.

To reflect on the achievements of the past three decades and share our vision for expanding the frontiers of human knowledge, we have prepared the "KIAS 30th Anniversary Celebration." We cordially invite you to join us and honor this special occasion with your warm support.
